The Making of Gokartcentralen

Behind the scenes of Sweden’s leading indoor electric karting arena

The Start

Gokartcentralen began as the idea of Martin Svendsen, a dedicated kart racer with years of experience in both national and Nordic championships. Between 1992 and 2008, he spent his time competing, improving, and collecting several titles along the way.

In 2010, he decided to turn that racing background into something bigger. His goal was to build one of Sweden’s first indoor electric karting arenas—right in Gothenburg. The vision was simple but ambitious: create a fast, safe, and sustainable place where complete beginners and experienced racers could enjoy high-quality electric karting.
